Direct competitors have always been prime candidates for hiring talent. But with almost every platform expanding, it's getting harder to achieve that. According to a Bloomberg analysis of the almost 160 new local regulatory licenses granted to them this year, such corporations were only able to fill less than 15% of new positions in Hong Kong with graduates of their closest counterparts. The statistics showed that approximately a quarter of those roles were instead filled by hires from non-platform hedge firms.
