Our client, a leading global multi $ Bn Hedge Fund, are looking to hire an Investment Analyst for a US Financials team.
This is an opportunity to work directly with a Senior Financials PM for an Industry leading Multi Strat Hedge Fund. This individual will play an integral role in generating ideas by conducting deep/bottom-up research and due diligence on individual companies and performing top-down industry analysis to identify tradeable themes or opportunities.
Responsibilities:
? Ability to generate investment ideas independently.
? Familiarity with key alternative data sets and methods for data analysis and can provide recommendations for integration and enrichment of existing data.
? Strong understanding of financial statement analysis and the ability to create and maintain a range of valuation and earnings models.
? Understanding of business principles, strategy, market, and competitive dynamics in the sectors.
Qualifications:
? ~2-6 years of experience covering Financials with a core coverage focus on banks, capital markets, REITs, and FinTech
? Minimum of 2 years of investing experience covering Financials, which can include a combination of sell-side equity research or investment banking experience in addition to their buy-side roles.
? Strong financial modeling skills with experience working with large datasets.
? Track record of successful idea generation.
? Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.
? Eager to find new investment ideas with a focus on velocity and creativity.
? Strong time management skills with an appreciation for consistent process and structure.
